Julien,
I’m back in Reykjavik and wanted to express my appreciation to “Iceland Like A Local” as the arrangements you made for my trip were excellent. Accommodations were excellent and the details in the travel instructions helped make my travel around the countryside easy.
I also appreciate the professionalism of the staff and the quick response I received from the very first email I sent a few months ago.
So thank you and I hope you will share this with your colleagues.
Best to you and, I will certainly tell friends of your agency for their travel to Iceland just as I will use it should I return.
William
Priscilla was so easy to work with! I told her all of my wishes and ideas as to what and where we wanted to go, and she fit it all in our 8 days. When we arrived, a few things were cancelled due to weather, but she was able to reschedule everything a few times for us. She responded immediately when I needed her. Despite cancellations, some road closures and rescheduling, she was able to fit everything in.
I would highly recommend everyone going to Iceland to use Priscilla!!
What a gorgeous island!
Dear Priscilla,
Thank you so much for all your help and advice regarding our recent trip to Iceland. It was so smooth, and we are so grateful for all your useful suggestions of what to do and see. We will certainly recommend you to anyone who wants to visit. We hope to be back before too long, to explore some more of the amazing island of Iceland.
Very best wishes,
Ross and Liz
Hi Julien,
As you are aware, this was the second time we have visited Iceland with your company’s help.
Once pre-Covid in October 2019 when we visited the South side of Iceland for a week and this time the North side for a week .
Again you did not let us down.
The only arrangements I had to make were our flights to Reykjavik. You did everything else.
Exiting customs at Reykjavik there was Peter our taxi driver waiting for us to take us to our hotel in the city centre.
He is also an excellent tour guide on the short journey with loads of local knowledge.
The following morning we flew to Akureyri and this time, Peter’s wife picked us up early doors on time to take us to the city airport.
On our return to the city and again for our very early start to get home from the international airport, Peter or his wife were always waiting for us on time.
Maybe the best taxi service in Iceland.
All hotels that you arranged were excellent as was the SUV we picked up in Akureyri.
Besides the wonderful scenery , the highlights were the aurora borealis (much better in the North ), Godafoss and Dettifoss waterfalls, the rock formations with geo thermal springs at Dimmuborgir (note you pay for the parking when you return to your car not before), Whale Watching, Pony Trekking (having not ridden for 50 years couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed the ponies. All bomb proof !), Husky sleigh riding in the snow (absolutely fantastic. A must and what views !) and finally a scenic flight out of Akureyri with Circleair giving us another perspective of the wonderful scenery.
Regarding eating out we can recommend Fiskfelagid (a fish restaurant) in Reykjavik.
We also had a lovely meal at Hnoss which is in the Opera House but it was very busy with opera house goers etc.
In Akureyi, we can recommend RUB 23 and Bautinn as well as the Hotel Kea where we stayed for two nights.
The manual, one receives from the taxi driver was even more comprehensive than 2019.
I can thoroughly recommend Iceland Like a Local for their organisational skills, recommendations etc.
They make life very easy for your holiday.
Western Fjords maybe next year.

Hi Priscilla!
We got back to the States last Saturday night and meant to send you an email over the weekend. First of all, THANK YOU so much for the best organized trip to Iceland ever! I love your country and its natural beauty! We truly appreciated the TRAVEL BOOK and the REGION BOOK that was prepared for us because it served as our main guide for the whole trip. There was so much to see in every part of the region that we had to pick and choose. We were able to go to Secret Lagoon and Myvatn Natural Baths and enjoyed it so much. We walked the trails leading to the Blue Lagoon on our first day and saw so many tourists, that we appreciated the less touristic lagoons that we experienced.
Because our time was only 8 days around the Ring Road, we were mostly limited in visiting Myvatn and Akuyeryi where would could have stayed at least 2 days exploring in each city. We did not let the rain bother us on our Glacier Hike and the Whale Watching which was magical.
The accommodations were very good especially the Fosshotels that we stayed at. The breakfast prepared for us were substantial. I was surprised that some served “grilled horse” which I had to taste just for the heck of it. We loved the Icelandic horses that we said hello to on the way to Blondous. I was also very pleased that tourists were respectful of not littering the sites too much.
On our next trip to Iceland, we would like to explore the Western Fjords which we were told are also beautiful. The Snafellsness Peninsula and hope to see more birds and wildlife on our next trip.
I have already told my co-workers and friends that if they ever consider traveling to Iceland to come see me to get the best travel organizer for Iceland!
Again, thank you for everything!
Hi Priscilla,
Thank you sincerely for working out the details of our trip. It all worked out and I can’t emphasize enough how the larger car helped.
Iceland is a truly majestic and surreal country, we all fell in love with the changing physical environments, the horses and sheep, the kind and friendly people, the wonderfully fresh food, the creative music…
We look forward to returning because there is still more to see. (And we can only imagine what the experience of winter and the northern lights would be.) As you said, there is only so much you can do in one trip.
Enjoy the rest of summer – the weather during our stay was amazing! – and we will keep in touch.
All our best,
Brenda, Gail, Alan and David
Hi Julien,
The trip was AMAZING!!! We had such a great time and we really appreciate everything you did to help make it that way. We’ll definitely be back! 🙂
Rachel
Hi Priscilla,
Everything was fantastic! I’m amazed at how quickly you pulled everything together, and it went so smoothly. Your personalized recommendations each day were incredibly helpful!
Hi Valérie,
All went so well.
I took route 60 to get to 54. It is one of the most spectacular roads that I have been on. Please don’t let your future clients miss it! The cooking class in Reykjavík was marvellous! This has been a trip of a lifetime!
Sorry I did not get to meet you, thank you so much for your expertise!
Lisa
Hi Trent,
In a nutshell, Nicky and I have had a fantastic time all week except may be for the long queues at the airport so early on a Friday morning which was a bit of a bore but we got home O.K.
You asked me for feedback which I am happy to do so but all is positive.
From the beginning that I spoke to you over the phone, I felt that I had chosen well and you are a credit to ‘Iceland like a local’.
Your advice was taken and now as I realise how big Iceland is and with so much you could do, I am glad that I took on board all your advices.
If we come back, which I hope we will, we will fly to the North and base ourselves there for another enthralling week or more.
So here is the feedback.
A great start last Friday being upgraded to Business Class with Icelandic Air given that this was our first trip with them. I thought that you had arranged this as this was my first flight with Iceland Air and no previous history with them.
Unfortunately only economy on the way back but all was good.
Picked up the car O.K. with your road/information book and the car was perfect for our needs .We left it with one small stone chip which the Euro Car Rep suggested that we would not be charged for it.
Drove into Reykjavik O.K. but must have missed The Kringlan Mall traffic lights turn off . Are these traffic lights mentioned on the overhead gantries as we missed the Mall again the following day?. No harm as when I realised that I had made a mistake, saw a sign for The Centre, followed my nose and found the hotel quite easily with the town map.
With regard to all of our hotels . All great choices by you and especially your last one, Hotel Duss that serves breakfast from 4.a.m. for the early booked in air passengers such as us.
Just one point. The Foss Hotel Hekla ,would not suit the infirm as there is no lift and we also had to negotiate two sets of small steps before reaching the stairs to our first floor room. Those with heavy bags to carry may have a problem. However, we did see the start of the Northern lights as we did the previous day at Husafell.
On Saturday we went on the Whale watching tour. We saw white nosed dolphins and Mink whales. It was a pity that some visitors did not listen to the guide with regard to use of sick bags etc but maybe there was a translation problem here. The guide was very knowledgably and his talk on the whale species very enlightening.
In fact Nicky said he was brilliant!
After the tour and walking back to the Hotel Skuggi to pick up the car at about 1 p.m. ish we left for Husafell for the ‘Into the Glacier Tour’.
Unfortunately, although we followed your detailed route instructions onto and over The Snorrabraut intersection and over what we though was the bridge and took the first left as advised , we ended in a business park and a dead end. We knew we were wrong as we didn’t loop under the bridge. Our fault.
Got back onto the main road ,looped to the left onto the A1 at all times looking for signs to Mosfellsbaer but soon realised that we were heading back to Keklavik. Also got confused early on when I saw an airport with Icelandic Air planes not realising that there was another airport at Reykjavik. Anyway turned around ,called into a N1 petrol station and we were put back onto the right road.
We probably lost around 45-50 mins here.
From now on we never got lost and your directions were perfect. I think my problem was the big city and trying to not crash the new hire car in the busy streets.
On reflection, two activities in a day was a hard ask given that we were new to the country and road system but it was our choice to do this.
When I realised that we would be late for the 3 o’clock tour I pulled over and rang the tour office. The guy there was very understandable and when I suggested that if there was any places for the 10 o’clock tour could we join it. He said no problem and another bonus was there was no extra cost for us.
Next day we went on the tour which was fantastic. Again the tour guide Emilia was very informative.
We left Husafell and followed your directions but as we had effectively lost 3 hrs, I decided to miss the volcanic crater at Bifrost and also the The Whale Fjord by going back under the tunnel and got to the hotel o.k. but visited The Thingvellir National Park, Geysir etc onto Fosshotel Hekla.
However, when I was checking the next day’s itinerary with the road book stating our snow mobile tour was at 15.00 (page 26) I did not fancy driving in the dark over the desert and lava field. So I made a decision as were in the area to pop in to see if we could get on an earlier tour. Imagine my surprise when the girl on the tour reception stated that there was no tour at that time. I went back to the car and retrieved the voucher which in fairness did state the tour time as midday. No harm done and we were able to drive thorough the desert and lava field in daylight.
Again the snowmobile tour was wonderful, again with another excellent guide.
On Tuesday we had the scenic flight. Although the weather was now poor, the excellent pilot Aaron took us over as much as he could in an hour and again an excellent guide.
We both thoroughly enjoyed this flight as it gave us another perspective of the desert, glacier etc from the sky.
Wednesday was just a sightseeing tour with the Golden Gate etc and seals playing beneath it.
Brilliant!
Thursday and our last day ‘Inside the Volcano Tour’ .
Again brilliant!
Final night at Hotel Duss and a lovely evening again to finish with.
In summary we have had a brilliant time, your organisation and planning was perfect for us.
Thank you from both of us.
Regards
Phil and Nicky
Dear Trent,
Back to our regular routines and Doreen is busy showing family and friends pictures of your wonderful country.
We’re certainly pleased with all aspects of the self-drive tour you packaged for us. We appreciated the extra laminated maps and information and the road map of Iceland were invaluable.
Europcar upgraded us to a new KIA Hybrid that was wonderful to handle and comfortable interior. They picked both of us up at our hotel in Reykjavik so I did not have to find my way back to our hotel. Simply went over the car, signed the contract and we were on our way!
Our hotels were of an excellent standard and with well appointed rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfasts presented a wide selection of food and many hotels had hot selections of foods.
The majority of the time we ate dinner in the hotel’s restaurant as it was convenient and we found the main courses to be well presented and flavourful.
Trent, your daily directions were clearly laid out and once we got the hang of matching the ideas outlined in the regional maps section to each day’s outline, we found many worthwhile suggestions for hikes and places to visit. Needless to say we didn’t have the energy or time to visit all that your entire booklet offered. We enjoyed each day with two or three highlights. The driving distances for each day were perfect for us, giving us time to enjoy an activity or visit a site and still arrive at our evening hotel at a reasonable time. The road map was a valuable tool for planning next day’s activities and determining where we were going.
In conclusion, Trent, thank you for a thorough and comprehensive guidebook to Iceland and for answering our many inquiries.
Happy Travels,
John and Doreen
Trent and Team
My wife and I arranged a self-drive tour through you in early July as part of our swing through NW Europe. It was great! We really enjoyed Iceland – there was so much natural beauty, but I also recognise that your agency’s support was a critical reason for why we enjoyed that part of the trip as much as we did.
You: provided a means to understand who we are, and what we would like
• crafted an agenda that you thought would meet our needs… a bit of a “trust me, you’ll like it” approach
• handled the on-the-ground matters… accommodation and transport
• provided us with a handbook that would allow us to adapt on the fly… making it easy for us to see and experience those special places that are typically not in the “TripAdvisor Top 10” list.
If you have anyone that doubts your agency’s value for money, please send them my way.
Kind regards
Hi Trent.
Just wanted to get back to you and thank you for organizing our Iceland trip.
We truly enjoyed the north, north east and south east the most – we loved the “isolation” and uncrowded roads.
We spent quite a bit of time hiking. We also obtained the fly fishing guide for Iceland and tried our luck at 5 different lakes. What incredible scenery!
the food at the guest houses was amazing!!!
Just an FYI – the Foss hotel at Mvetin was incorrectly placed. It is on the main road 600 meters for the intersection (not on the side road).
The other Foss hotel we stayed at (sorry, I do not have my itinerary with me – I’ll try to email it later) was amazing!!! Right on the inlet, great food and just perfect.
I am ready to come back and climb the highest point in Iceland. It looked inviting!
Have a good winter!
Carla
Dear Trent,
I hope you are doing well.
We got back more than one week ago and I just found some time to write you.
We would like to thank you for the trip, it was amazing.
I also gave your site to a couple of friends who would like to visit Iceland, i hope you will get some new customers
Thanks,
Alessandra
Trent,
I wanted you to know that the trip was fabulous. Everything worked out beautifully. The hotels were good and the excursions were dynamite. You live in a beautiful country.
Best,
Marcia
Trent,
We think you captured us in this itinerary. We are pleased with the choice to start in the west and around. Having our excursions at the end was terrific! We really could just take it all in and not have so many decisions to make. It was the best way to end our time in Iceland.
We really enjoyed the west and north. Spending time on the land and outdoors, we feel rejuvenated. We’ve done many hikes, saw terrific museums and sights. Each day we used your information to plan our day.
We are at the lake near our accommodations for tonight. It’s a nice and relaxing day we hope to end with a trip to the Blue Lagoon.
Thank you for all your support and work! We had a terrific trip!
Amy and Chuck
Trent,
Been meaning to send you a note since we returned home after our trip to Iceland. I wanted to thank you for the great itinerary you put together for us, the great excursions (particularly the snorkeling and glacier hike) and all of the information supplied about the sites.
Also, your office was very helpful with a couple of issues that arose due to some weather impacts. We had a terrific time, got to see so much of the southern part of the country and really enjoyed the hotels and other accommodations.
We particularly loved Hotel A, where we enjoyed seeing the Northern Lights and had an amazing dinner! All in all, it was a wonderful trip. Thank you for all of the assistance. Would love to give a good review on trip advisor or other similar rating service that may be helpful to you?
Thanks.
Shelah
Dear Trent,
We are home, and already scheming how and when we can come back to Iceland. Before regular life piles too many things on top of the memories, I wanted to thank you again for putting together such a fantastic itinerary for us. Although if we were to do it again we would probably want to spend more nights in fewer places, we wouldn’t have wanted to miss any of the ones we stayed at this time, so it worked out perfectly.
In particular I wanted to mention the guesthouse we stayed at the first two nights, Selid, which was a lovely place to begin our trip. The setting was spectacular, and our hosts friendly and down-to-earth. We would definitely return there, in any season.
Also the hotel we stayed at in Husafell was beautiful, and we wanted to particularly commend Mariana at the front desk, for her warmth and help. She was lovely, and we had probably the best dinner of our trip in their restaurant.
Thanks, too, for the tip on the pool at Hveragerdi. We managed to swim every day of our trip, but that first one was memorable.
Wishing you all the best as you head into the busy time for tourists, and thank you for helping make our trip so extraordinary.
Mary and J.
Hi Trent,
Well done. Many thanks.
Expectations exceeded. I’d be happy to be a current reference for you. If you would like more detailed feedback on anything in particular I’d be happy to update you.
Keep Well,
Henry

Trent, Just a quick note to tell you what a great time we had in Iceland.
Everything worked perfectly.
The car, the accommodations, and the itinerary. Given the long days we really accomplished a lot and took full advantage of the Ring road and your back roads.
Thanks for your help, it was a terrific vacation.
Jim
Hello Trent:
We are back home now and I want to send you a line just to tell you that we had a wonderful trip!
Everything worked out perfectly and we enjoyed the days in Iceland very much!
The rental car was perfect, the hotels all very comfortable and with very good service; but most of all the road book you prepared for us was just great.
We followed all your instructions, which were just perfect to the smallest detail.
We usually travel with the “Lonely Planet” travel guides, and this time we used it less, since we already had your guide.
Thanks again and kind regards from Mexico,
Rosemarie and Eduardo
Hi Trent,
Back in England. Hotel gave us an apartment such a luxury for our last night. Ice cave was a real treat in the conditions amazing that he got us down one at all fantastic man I wouldn’t have gone down with anyone I felt lacked the experience he obviously has! Thanks for an amazing trip without your personal care and excellent planning we would not have had such a carefree time! Thanks,
Hi Trent,
Thanks so much for putting the package together for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, and even the weather co-operated for the better part of our stay. Will be sure to write a Thank you comment on your facebook page. Special mentions go to Hotel A near Reykjolt and Hotel Selið near Hvolsvollur – they were wonderful (everything – the rooms and the service and the location). Regards,
Hi Trent,
This is a note to thank you so much for arranging a really wonderful trip for Philip and I around Iceland during July. We really enjoyed the whole experience and we are very grateful and impressed by the well organised and informative itinerary that we followed. We were totally amazed by the drama of the landscapes that we experienced each day and have sung the praises of Iceland to friends and I am sure there will be some other interested Australians giving Iceland a lot of thought in their travel plans. If I have the chance, I will definitely recommend Iceland Like A Local for people to contact if they want a well organised and informative trip. The accommodations that you arranged for us were very good and the Foss Hotel Vatnajokull in Hofn was very special. Coming to comfortable accommodation at the end of a long day’s driving is very important. We did feel that driving in 28 kms to Hof i Vatnsdalur after a very long day was difficult but the people were very pleasant so in the morning, we were more appreciative of the beautiful countryside surrounding the farm. We enjoyed the car that was supplied and it did take us a little while to get used to driving on the roads but they were fine and well maintained. After Iceland we flew to Longyearbeyen in Svalbard and enjoyed a cruise on a small ship SS Malmo and had a great time there too. Thank you again Trent for your assistance in making our Icelandic experience so good. I am sorry that I didn’t have the opportunity to come to your office to say g’day. Best wishes,
Hi Trent,
Sorry for not writing to you sooner, but work and life got in the way. Firstly I would like to thank you and your company for the professional way that you organised our walking holiday. We all had a fantastic time and the country side and Vistas were spectacular. Our guide Ursula was a very engaging and a fantastic guide with a deep knowledge of the Topography and the environment and Geology. She took great care to make sure that we were safe on our walks and that we were duly provisioned with treats for our days in the mountains. Her ability to organise an evening meal for us in difficult and busy conditions after a hard days walking was greatly appreciated by all. The Various transport companies that you used were again very professional and knowledgeable in the way that they took care of us both in Airport transfer and Golden circle tour and when were were up in the highlands with Boci. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend your company to our walking group or to give a testimonial on your part. Regards,
Godan Gag Trent!
We are back in the US reflecting fondly on our great adventure in Iceland. My daughter and her boyfriend really got into it as navigators making the most of your well planned itinerary. We didn’t hit every point of interest, but we did pretty well. The places you had us stay were all interesting and hospitable with their own character. The activities you lined us up with suited our needs well. We especially liked the people at the horse riding, very gracious and fun. We felt like we really got a taste of Icelandic life there. For Eliza and Cameron a favorite was the remote local hot spring. Thank you for working with us on this and for your careful organization. The travel packet was complete and very helpful. We are grateful for the service you provided. Takk Fyrir!
Thanks again.
Hi Trent,
just to let you know that the Sunna hostel was great and the breakfast very good. You could not want more. The whale tour was great got to see a lot of animals, also a nice boat with a great crew. The lava cave tour was good fun got to see se nice things, and the guide was good fun and new there stuff. Never got to do the hot spring swim because we ran out of time but that is fine. Anyway it was very good, top marks for every thing! I will be back again! Thanks mate, Anthony.
Dear Trent,
My family and I would just like to say thank you. The itinerary you had arranged was excellent and the service providers you had hired were of utmost professionalism. We had a really wonderful time in Iceland and are completely sold on returning. Thank you again. Best regards,
Hi Trent,
I had a brilliant time! Quite a few late nights but purely self inflicted, lots of places to visit and things to do! In retrospect probably shouldn’t have tried to do quite so much, but still a truly lovely country great experience and really nice to have the road book and not have to try and work it out as I went along!
Not a lot of feedback to give beyond that!
Thank you again for doing all the organising!
Trent,
Just a note to say thank you for a fabulous holiday. We were lucky with the weather and simply loved Iceland in every way – the scenery, the lack of people, the roads (especially the fords!), the hotels were all terrific. We were looking for puffins all week and on the last couple of days saw thousands. We didn’t brave the thermal springs but that’s cos we wouldn’t have been able to get out of the water, and the wind was a bit too strong to tempt us out on the water for whale watching, but that just gives us a reason to come back again to explore the north of the island in a couple of years or so.
Many thanks.
Hi Trent,
We are back in the UK and enjoying a bit of warm sunshine after our week in Iceland!
Just wanted to say thank you for sorting out the details of a great holiday – we all loved it! What an amazing place and so easy to get around and see things. Our summerhouse was particularly lovely and a great place to do day trips around the area. The trip to the glacier national park was well worth the kms – all amazed by the iceberg lagoon – the only disappointment was the shocking weather while we were there which meant we couldn’t stand the thought of the boat trip in the driving rain.
We really hope to be back some day.
Best wishes
Hi Trent,
I’m sure it was a very hectic summer for you and bet you are glad that it’s now over. We had a fantastic trip and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. I once again would like to thank you and your company for an extremely pleasant experience. I would have no hesitation with recommending the trip to any of my friends.
Kind regards
Hi Trent,
You couldn’t have reached us if you tried we were totally and blissfully off the grid! We love Iceland!!!
Thank you for a fantastic trip! You did an exceptional job putting our package together. We enjoyed the variety of accommodations, itineraries and suggestions for sights to see. We felt welcomed and well cared for – everywhere we went! The information you included helped us prepare for the trip (climate/clothing, groceries/meals, customs, etc). Every day was a wonderful adventure! Believe it or not, but the days weren’t long enough!
Best wishes and many thanks,
Dear Myriam,
We have just returned to Brighton to the snow and the cold, (even chillier than Iceland !! ) but with wonderful memories of our long weekend in Reykjavik. The service you provided was of excellent quality. We were very pleased with the quality of our accommodations and the warm welcome we received there. We had several concerns about visiting Iceland in wintertime before leaving that turned out to be unfounded. We were worried we would not see daylight the whole time.
All of our transfers were on time. Your itinerary was lovely and perfect for us and we will definitely put our next holiday to Iceland in your hands again.
Cordially,
Hello Iceland!
Great vacation. A fair amount of time spent on the bus, on short hikes and guided treks. Olafur, our guide, was great, very patient and encouraging when we would run out of steam. A big thanks to Matthew as well for the specificity of his information and his availability during our trip. I will gladly recommend Iceland like a Local to friends.
Only one regret, not having visited the fjords of the North West. I guess I’ll just have to come back.
Hello Myriam,
The itinerary for our custom trip to the South of Iceland was reflective of our email and Skype exchanges. Myriam’s deep knowledge of the country inspired confidence in us. She understood right away the kind of trip we wanted. And during the trip she was very efficient in organising activities for an extra day at the last minute. A truly extraordinary vacation in a country full of surprises and interesting inhabitants.
Thanks again to Myriam.
Hello Myriam,
Just a little email to thank you for throwing together a great trip for us on such short notice. The three of us had an incredible vacation. No negatives, besides the one day of rain that was obviously not your fault! It goes without saying that we will be recommending you to anyone we know interested in travelling to Iceland.
Hello to everyone,
The trip met our expectations and was reasonably priced. Very good recommendations for driving through Iceland’s heartland. The roadbook they provided had good tips for fording the rivers without stress.
Thanks again.
Dear Iceland like a Local,
Our self drive tour was really great and everything went very well, from the greeting at the Keflavik airport to the Blue Lagoon excursion (thanks for the suggestion) on the last day. Even the weather was good; on a 15 day trip we had only two days of rain. We came back with a tan that shamed all the people who went on a beach holiday! The option of renting a little flat in Reykjavik was great. It allowed us to really experience the capital and to go on nearby short breaks (whale watching!!). We will always remember those beautiful sunsets over the volcanoes of the central highlands. We will likely be back in spring to do some bird watching.
See you soon.
Competant and available representatives. Flawless organization and a roadbook full of useful advice. Meteorological issues prevented our excursion to the d’Ingolfshodi peninsula South of Vatnajökull. After a quick stop in your office, it was reimbursed without a problem. Thank you for everything.
We did the tour of the island and we were never bored. A varied and magical trip. The beauty of Iceland’s changing landscapes surprised and impressed us as well as the kindness of Icelanders despite the language barrier! An itinerary we recommend to anyone who loves to drive long distances and watch panoramas go by. We hope to come again to discover the center of Iceland.
Hello all,
A magical destination for the new year.
We were a little worried about heading to such a different destination despite your excellent information and advice. But Iceland won us over in every way. The Christmas decorations in Reykjavik, the science fiction like geothermal activity, the comfortable guesthouses, the stunning landscapes under the snow. We experienced very unpredictable but totally manageable weather (from 14 to 46 degrees). We also got the feeling that Icelanders are easier to get to know in low tourist season. We met some great people.
Se you soon (in the summer).
